I had this problem where Battlefield 3 COOP would not allow me to interact with the game, only ALT-TAB out and exit.

To fix, I updated to newer version of the nvidia drivers for my card.

I figured this out after searching forums and finding nothing, then after a little trial and error it dawned on me to update the drivers.

Hope this helps people out there.

When does it become a good idea to purchase hosted pbx verses obtaining and running your own hardward and software?

At 3 extensions or less it makes no sense to get a pbx of your own because the savings over 5 years will not be significant .

But dont take our word for it. We have designed a spreadsheet that allows individuals and businesses to adjust the figures to correctly project the cost of the owned pbx verses the hosted pbx 5 years into the future.

Remember that if you buy your PBX you can usually use it with any voip service.

I recommend getting the one with gmail.

Click on CREATE NEW ACCOUNT.

If you like, in addition, you can also get a google account for:

Why not? Who doesn’t want state of the art email?

I’ve been working on websites for over 15 years, and I’ve had to deal with a lot of companies.

I personally have preferred Godady’s service to that of its competitors since I tried them out a few years ago. I took a chance on their low cost, and it has paid off as they rarely let me down.

Network solutions doesn’t have customer service open on the weekends and often takes days to accomplish a DNS transfer or other request involving a domain name. In this day and age with everything being computorized, its absurd to have to wait a week for anything.

One down side to Goddaddy is that they don’t have an 800 number for support. I suppose they save that money, and the up side is 24 hour support.

Customer service on night, weekends.. thats what counts, when your website is down and you need it fixed. Websites are 24 hours, so should be hosts and domain companies.

A recent issue with a client’s hotmail account has brought the user account password reset and account block issues involving live. com accounts to my attention.

Hotmail disables accounts it thinks have been compromised.

We have found that users can get locked out of hotmail if an attacker attempted to crack their account with brute force.

We have found that once a user account is compromised, the account is used for spam until hotmail admins disable it, leaving the real owner of the account in the lurch. Attempts to unblock accounts are met with lack of telephone support and circular forms on live. com servers that don’t seem to accomplish any good. Only the admins at hotmail can fix this problem, and the forums state it can take weeks.

What person can afford to be without their email account for weeks?

What can you do to protect yourself from hackers teamed up with microsoft’s inept customer support?

We recommend you back up you email, contacts, and be sure to use a strong password that is not based on dictionary words and easy to guess numbers or phrases.

For some things, a laptop or notebook can’t be beat, such as typing long papers, but for a myriad of other uses a tablet will suffice.

Benefits of a tablet over a laptop:

Instant on - most tablets sit in a sleep mode, ready for action

Email delivered more readily – a tablet can perodoically awake from sleep and check email, provide notifications

Large, portable screen – tablets are excellent for viewing games and movies

Extended battery life – tablets run on significantly less power than traditional notebooks

The major downside of not having a keyboard can be mitigated by adding a keyboard accessory to almost any tablet.

First consider new items on the market: tablets like xoom, archos, playbook and ipad, or the various linux netbooks that are nearly impervious to viruses. For some situations, a desktop or laptop is not the best choice for environmental, battery life and other concerns.

Always look up reviews of a product before you buy.

If purchasing through a store, print competitors pricing lists from their websites before shopping.

Consider alternate places to purchase such as ebay, dell off lease action, microcenter (local store, off lease options)

If its mobile, get an extended warrenty if you can.

For really young kids we recommend linux or mac products as they are harder to infect. Linux has a nice balance of price and security, and most kids can figure it out.
